Primary Purpose and Function of Position:

  • Lead the Sales and Marketing function for Brewery.
  • Serve as backup for Dir. Of Operations

 

Primary Purpose and Function of Position:

  • Direct the efforts of the Sales and Marketing Department to achieve all sales related objectives including volume, share, distribution, shelf space, etc.
  • Take brand ownership and provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies for Celis Brewing Co.
  • Translate brand strategies into brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and key issues.
  • Manage and improve communication and process relationships with internal stakeholders and determine the best brand program strategies for each channel.
  • Manage program performance focusing on delivering key metrics of volume and share to budget. Analyze return on investment (ROI) and provide strategic direction on program design moving forward.
  • Select and retain a high functioning diverse Sales and Marketing Team.
  • Develop sales forecasts for volume budgets, monthly projections, projected year-end and other statistical and marketing reports for Ownership.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines.
  • Maintain retail call frequency.
  • Develop and monitor sales and marketing expense budgets in conjunction with the Director of Operations.  Monitor and approve all expenses and complete monthly variance reports.

 

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years sales/marketing experience preferably in the beer or consumer products industry
  • 3 years sales management experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong internal and external customer orientation
  • Knowledge of budget development and management
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws
  • Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work additional hours, as necessary.
  • Excellent strategic analysis and critical thinking skills
  • Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong leadership and influence skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
