Customer assaults fast food worker over chicken sandwich: Bainbridge Township Police Blotter

BAINBRIDGE TOWNSHIP, Ohio

Assault: Chillicothe Road

Officers were called to the McDonald’s restaurant at 6 p.m. June 15 regarding a report of an assault that had taken place about an hour earlier.

After receiving her $30 multiple-item food order at the drive-thru window, a woman looked in the bag. She complained that her chicken sandwich was missing, then threw the bag back through the window at the worker before driving off.

When the manager looked in the bag, the full order was inside — including the chicken sandwich.

Possible theft: Market Place Drive

Between June 10 and 11, someone entered an outdoor storage unit at Walmart and removed copper plumbing supplies and multiple power tools. The locks showed no sign of tampering. Police are investigating and speaking to another company that shared the storage unit.

Traffic stop: Haskins Road

An officer on patrol stopped a driver for exceeding the speed limit by 20 mph at 9:30 a.m. June 16. Inside the vehicle were several items of drug paraphernalia. The Bainbridge Township driver, 18, received tickets for both offenses and was sent on his way.

Crash: Chillicothe Road

A man, 60, was struck by a car while on his motorcycle at 10:20 p.m. June 16 on Crackel Road after a boy, 16, who was driving the car, made a left turn without yielding the right of way. The motorcyclist suffered a severe leg injury and was transported to a hospital. The Bainbridge Township teen was cited.
