ELMHURST, IL – In the last few days, Elmhurst police arrested people on theft, fireworks, domestic battery and drug charges, among others. Here is information from the reports:
- Michael J. Educate, 33, of Chicago, was arrested about 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Illinois Route 83 and North on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, DUI (drugs), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, officers came into contact with Educate after a multi-car crash.
- Lydell D. Johnson, 35, of Maywood, was arrested about 1 a.m. Sunday at Myrtle and North on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, aggravated DUI, driving with a suspended license and improper lane usage. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, crack cocaine was found in Johnson’s sock.
- Michael L. Causey, 42, of Elk Grove Village, was arrested about 9 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of North York Street on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, criminal trespass to a motor vehicle, resisting a peace officer, driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was taken to the DuPage County Jail. According to a police report, officers responded to a disabled vehicle that was later found to be stolen in Melrose Park. The driver ran away and was later captured.
Driving violations
- Reynaldo Castillo-Cardon, 45, of Bellwood, was arrested about 1 p.m. Thursday at Berteau and North on charges of no valid driver’s license, disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was released on bond.
- Tyresse A. McCoy, 19, of Bellwood, was cited about 2 a.m. Saturday in the 100 block of West Third Street on charges of no valid driver’s license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and tinted windows. He was released on bond.
- Jovanny Ordaz, 23, of Addison, was arrested about 5 p.m. Monday at North and Villa on charges of driving with a suspended license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and expired registration. He was released on bond.
