The snacks come in two-count packages and are being recalled due to reported allergic reactions. Trader Joe’s posted a recall notice on their website that explains “While the label states that the product ‘May contain traces of… peanut,’ following reports of allergic reaction, potentially affected product was promptly removed from sale.”
Those potentially affected products include sell by dates of April 5, 2022, April 6, 2022, and April 7, 2022. Individuals with sensitive peanut allergies may be at risk if they consume it, illness reports have determined.
Anyone who happened to purchase the two-count dark chocolate almond butter cups packs with the aforementioned sell by dates is urged to not eat it and can return it to any Trader Joe’s location for a full refund.
